Description

This session will change the way you treat your traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients and/or employees. Individuals with a TBI often look normal, so it is difficult to understand they may have visual problems that limit their performance and recovery time. The presenter discusses and demonstrates visual problems that interfere with function even though an injured worker may see 20/20. She also discusses the treatment involved.

Learning Objectives: 1. Explain why 20/20 vision is not enough; 2. Describe the signs and symptoms of visual problems related to a concussion; and 3. Explain how available treatments impact performance and safety in the workplace.
