Recent workers’ compensation reports show knee injuries are occurring more frequently. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are instrumental in returning the injured worker to work. BWC offers the Enhanced Care Plan (ECP) pilot to improve the management of knee injuries.

Learning Objectives: 1. Define basic knee anatomy and function; 2. Recognize different meniscal injuries and treatment principles associated with them; 3. Recognize ligament injuries and what constitutes a surgical indication; and 4. Describe how the arthritic knee impacts the treatment of soft tissue injuries and the impact of the arthritic knee as a stand-alone entity.
