This presentation provides an understanding of why arc flash is important, and what can be done to protect workers from electrical hazards. The presentation is for electrical workers and environmental health and safety personnel who are involved with managing and monitoring their safety program. The presenters discuss changes to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 1584 Guide for Performing Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations.
