Description:
Workplace violence continue to rise in the private sector. Would your company know what to do within your place of employment? This presentation focuses on what defines workplace violence. More importantly, it provides prevention strategies targeted to negate workplace violence. The session covers what to do in the event of workplace violence, employer obligations, policy development and enforcement, and crisis response and aftermath management.

Define workplace violence, implication under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration General Duty Clause, and what to do if workplace violence occurs in your workplace
Identify recent incidents and current statistics on the demographics of those who commit workplace violence and those who are victims

Explain effective prevention strategies in the workplace
Discuss developing a workplace violence policy/procedure
