Description:
The protocols and safety considerations for dealing with a violent attack in the workplace are, in most places, outdated and ineffective. This workshop explores an honest approach to preparing your workforce to deal with these threats. The workshop covers preparation, how to survive during the attack, a deep look into surviving a physical fight, how to give basic medical care until EMS arrives, interacting with responding officers, and the psychological needs after an event.

Learning Objectives:
Identify issues with current workplace protocols for dealing with a violent attack and explain why they are getting people killed
Define the practical options for surviving this type of threat and how to apply them in the workplace
Describe how to survive and face any long-term psychological, physical, or financial issues that may arise in the future
