Sometimes it is not even understood that there is a standard governing safety eyewear. This presentation equips attendees with increased knowledge and understanding areas such as reasons to use safety eyewear, meeting the safety standard, meeting testing requirements and understanding enforcement. Learning Objectives: Recognize why it’s important to wear safety-rated eyewear Describe the requirements for eyewear to be safety-rated Identify the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) and Military Combat Eye Protection (MCEP) standards, and the tests required for compliance Recall who can test to the ANSI, ISEA and MCEP standards Discuss the myths and misconceptions associated with enforcement
