The speaker discusses the concepts of active engagement and personal commitment. He suggests opportunities to actively engage workers. He also covers key points such as peer-to-peer interaction and traits of effective safety leaders and crew members. Learning Objectives: Identify what safety excellence looks like in the form of behaviors that reflect personal commitment, empowerment, good decision-making and responsibility List the three levels of engagement and how each impacts safety excellence Recognize the essential partnership between supervisors, foremen and individual crew members
