In 2015 the nation saw a 7.2 percent increase in highway deaths, the largest percentage increase in 50 years, and a 10-percent increase the first six months of 2016 despite advances in auto safety. $40 billion was lost in 2014 due to distracted driving. Attend this session and learn about the types of distractions, case law about distracted driving and policies you can put in place to prevent this tragedy at your workplace. Learning Objectives: Identify the dangers of distracted and unsafe driving practices, and the civil liability consequences Describe a sample policy that increases work productivity while saving insurance and workers' compensation money and lives
