National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) 70E was specifically written to provide electrical workers with the tools they need to keep themselves safe, free from injury or possibly worse. In this session, the presenter identifies common arc flash hazards, discusses methods to mitigate the risk and describes personal protective equipment that will protect employees. Learning Objectives: Discuss the hazards associated with arc flash/blast events Identify common arc flash hazards Explain how to read an arc flash warning label Describe personal protective equipment requirements based on incident energy level
