Description:
When work requires employees to install, inspect, operate, or maintain live electrical equipment, or work near such equipment, they are at risk for arc flash-related accidents and injuries. National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) 70E was specifically written to provide electrical workers with the tools they need to keep themselves safe, free from injury or possibly worse. In this session, the presenter identifies common arc flash hazards, discusses methods to mitigate the risk and describes personal protective equipment that will protect employees.
