Deaths relating to mobile or heavy equipment continue to plague U.S. workplaces. More than 100 deaths a year and more than 90,000 injuries are linked to material handling equipment. Mobile equipment accounts for more than 13 percent of all workplace fatalities. This presentation reviews best practices in mobile equipment injury prevention applicable to all industries and workplaces. The presenter shares a risk assessment tool tailored to mobile equipment with participants and the hierarchy of controls applied.
