This session addresses the constant state of flux of drugs and alcohol, the need for everyone to be involved in a solution, and the dynamics of this problem so everyone comprehends the issue. The speakers provide proactive and preventive measures to stop this epidemic in its tracks. We discuss short and long term solutions to address those presently abusing or addicted. Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize the signs of drug an alcohol use; 2. Tell school officials and parents about the latest trends in drugs and alcohol; 3. Recall proactive preventive measures for implementation in your school and household; and 4. Discuss solutions for students who are abusing or addicted to drugs and alcohol.
