The new standard is more prescriptive and applies to any industry that is performing Occupational Safety and Health Administration defined construction activities in a confined space. This session reviews the key difference from the general industry standard, looks at new terms, and covers what you need to comply with the new standard. Learning Objectives: 1. Distinguish key differences from OSHA general industry and construction confined space standards; 2. List key terms and conditions that affect confined space entries; 3. Recognize a confined space in any setting and the steps for compliance; and 4. Identify training gaps and needs to meet to regulatory requirements.
