Description:

Injuries can happen anytime and anywhere. This session helps employers determine when an injury is compensable under Ohio's workers' compensation laws. The presenter outlines in detail the law regarding the two prongs of compensability, namely that the injury must be sustained "in the course of" and "arise out of" employment. The presenter explains in detail the "coming and going" rule along with the exceptions to the rule. Overall, this presentation assists employers in determining whether legal defenses exist to claims.
