In addition to the extremely important function of demonstrating management's commitment to safety, safety walkthroughs should enhance employee morale, build better understanding of operations, build positive management/employee relations and identify opportunities for improvement. Employees react positively to management interest in their work, not to mention the visible concern for their welfare. You simply cannot obtain many of these insights from behind a desk. This session demonstrates the importance of safety walkthroughs, who should be included, and the benefits to your business.
