By offering your understanding, reassurance and support, you can help your co-worker, friend or loved one seek the help he or she needs. REACH is an Ohio State University training program designed to help save a life from suicide. This training session provides the necessary knowledge and skills to recognize the risks, warning signs and learn how to intervene. REACH is appropriate for all skill levels and will include suicide diversity education. Participants receive certificates via e-mail verifying completion of the program. Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize the warning signs of suicide; 2. Describe how to engage with empathy, ask directly and communicate hope; and 3. Explain how to help suicidal individuals access care and treatment.
