Description:

The practice of medicine is changing. The change impacts providers and patients alike. Work-related injuries may become more challenging with employer concerns. The presenters discuss the concept and benefits of patient centered care and accountability between multiple stakeholders. They review trends in the treatment of Ohio's injured workers and the move from volume to value via outcome based goals.

1. Define patient centered care and accountable care organizations; 2. Identify benefits of enhanced care through a patient centered care model; 3. Distinguish between the needs of an injured worker and how those needs are addressed and met through a collaborative care model; and 4.
