Description:

This session covers BWC's role in conducting investigations of potential violations of safety codes. Attendees gain an understanding of the investigation process and types of investigations performed. The presenters make employers aware of the information required from them, the financial impact of violation of specific safety requirement (VSSR) awards and the administrative hearing process.

1. Explain the investigation process of VSSR; 2. Recognize the financial impact of safety violations; 3. Identify information required of employers during an investigation; and 4. Describe actions employers can take to mitigate accidents.
