The demonstration covers safe entry procedures to confined space, entry equipment for horizontal and vertical entry, confined space permit elements, roles of the competent person and the differences between general industry confined space and construction industry confined space procedures. The presenter conducts this session in the Expo Marketplace demonstration area. Learning Objectives: 1. Define OSHA's new confined space standard for construction; 2. Identify how OSHA is defining violations of new confined space standard for construction; 3. List the training, equipment necessary to comply with the new confined space for construction standard; and 4. Define the role of the Competent Person in the new confined space construction standard.
