Description:

With more than 1 million forklifts in use in the U.S. today, companies need to be aware of the risks forklifts present in the workplace. This session provides attendees with statistics on forklifts in the workplace and helps them to not become a statistic. It also brings to light some of the most common problems that result in forklift accidents. Attendees get to see and hear several real life examples from the construction industry on what can happen when things go bad with forklifts on a construction site and how to prevent them.

1. Describe how to determine if your site program is up to par; 2. Explain how to make decisions on key topics when the OSHA standard provides little or no guidance; and 3. Discuss information on tough topics such as cell phone usage.
