They address the coverage limitations and the potential gaps that may be present when employees work outside the state. The presenters also cover the rules applicable to employees who temporarily work in Ohio. The presenters explain how recent legislation provides an option for Ohio employers to address the potential coverage gap. In addition, they provide details on how the coverage works, who would be eligible and address periods for coverage implementation. This is a repeat of session #633 offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize when employers must obtain coverage for employees working temporarily in Ohio and when Ohio coverage applies; 2. Identify situations where employers can use Ohio's extraterritorial coverage and the potential gaps in coverage; and 3. Explain BWC's new Other States' Coverage Program, being implemented because of House Bill 493.
