First responders learn about basic first aid for these injuries and gain an understanding of reattachment surgery. Learning Objectives: 1. Explain how to care for an amputation patient as a first responder; 2. Describe the indications for reattachment surgery; 3. State the importance of cooling amputated parts; and 4. Discuss the importance of aspirin.
