Description:

Corporations increasingly use audits as a mechanism to help manage their environmental health and safety (EHS) regulatory exposure. They also use audits to assist them in keeping up with an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Audits are not things you should fear. Rather, you should embrace audits as the tool to use to ensure your facility is meeting its EHS requirements. The presenters cover the types of EHS audits; recommend frequencies for conducting EHS audits; the roles and responsibilities of the audit team during the audit; the ways a facility can protect itself by conducting an audit; how to select the appropriate auditors; and how to maximize the benefits of a completed audit.

Learning Objectives:
1. List the types and frequency of EHS Audits; 2. Explain the roles and responsibilities during an audit; 3. Describe how to select an auditor and protect yourself during an audit; and 4. Discuss the benefits of an EHS audit and measure its success.
