Description:

You are prepared with a fall protection system to safeguard your employees working at heights, but have you considered the measures you would take if the system triggers? Are they adequate? What happens if the employee is hurt? How long can he or she remain suspended before being seriously injured or permanently impaired? If you don’t have a plan, aren’t sure, or the answer is a resounding no, you are not alone. The presenters walk you through preparing for this scenario in an interactive fall protection demonstration from the ceiling of the Expo Marketplace demonstration area.

Learning Objectives:
1. List three components of a personal fall arrest system; 2. Discuss what the Occupational Safety & Health Administration's fall protection standards say about providing for fall rescue; and 3. Explain how to equip your employees to recover from a fall.
