Description:

Too many lives have been lost because of untrained or inadequately trained individuals trying to do the right thing the wrong way to help someone trapped in a confined space. The presenters present the requirements for confined space rescue and methods on providing for that contingency. Included in the workshop is a comparison of the pros and cons of in-house and contracted rescue teams.

1. Describe the hazards associated with confined space entry; 2. List at least three measurable criteria of an effective confined space rescue team; and 3. Compare the pros and cons of in-house versus contracted rescue teams.
