The speaker describes the role of the provider, employer, worker, case manager and therapist in helping with a return-to-work program. They also discuss traditional outpatient therapy, on-site therapy, transitional work and case management at length, and Ohio BWC bonus programs that may reduce cost to the employer. Learning Objectives: 1. Explain the impact on the cost of lost time claims for employers; 2. Define return to work options, e.g. remain at work, return to work and gradual return to work; 3. Describe the role of each party (provider, case manager, employer, injured worker, and therapist) in a workers' compensation claim; and 4. Discuss on-site therapy, traditional outpatient therapy, work conditioning/work hardening, transitional work and vocational rehabilitation.
