Description:
This session gives you the tools needed to decide on responding to emergencies or not. The presentation benefits all sizes and types of workplaces and covers the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and National Fire Protection Association Standards requirements, monetary costs, and commitment of people and resources. The presenter covers all types of emergencies including fire, HazMat, medical, confined space, and rope rescue. The presenter also discusses the latest from the OSHA Advisory Committee dealing with emergency response.

1. Identify the requirements to make a decision to allow outside resources or an internal team to respond to all types of emergencies.
2. Explain how to justify the need for an internal emergency response in terms of monetary costs, people, and resources.
