Description:
The federal regulatory landscape is always changing, and mine operators often experience these changes with enforcement by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). This presentation reviews MSHA's 2019 rulemaking and enforcement trends, while looking at what could change in 2020 and beyond for mine operators and independent contractors. The presenter includes a review of key decisions from the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission, which affect MSHA enforcement.
