The presenter describes the equipment needed and how to recognize the signs of an unsafe trench. He also covers site specific planning, including fire and rescue. Learn how to make a trench safe for entry and what you need to do in case of an incident. Learning Objectives: 1. Define what qualifies as a trench. 2. Identify trench hazards. 3. Describe how to plan an excavation. 4. Summarize safe practices in and around a trench.
