Participants are taught the different classifications of fire and fire extinguishers, proper procedures for using a fire extinguisher, and are given the chance to extinguish a fire during a hands-on demonstration. Learning Objectives: 1. Identify the different classifications of fires. 2. Distinguish between the different types of fire extinguishers. 3. Explain and conduct an effective monthly inspection on a fire extinguisher. 4. Recognize and effectively extinguish a fire using a portable fire extinguisher.
