It is important to be cautious at the scene once death has been pronounced or in situations where death may occur once the patient has been transported to a medical facility. Learn which items to keep in mind to relay to on-scene law enforcement or to document in your report. Learning Objectives: 1. Explain the coroner's office/medical examiner's role in a death scene. 2. Describe how to assess a scene and report viable information to law enforcement and the coroner's office. 3. Discuss the notation of viable information within reports.
