Description:
This session promotes the safety of belt splicing by describing correct procedures to follow and reinforcing the need for proper training. Belt splicing is done on every mine site, and every miner has done it at one time.

Learning Objectives:
1. Properly identify the hazards associated with belt splicing.
2. Explain the importance of lockout/tagout and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping.
3. Select the proper lacing for the belt.
