Various forms of personal protective equipment (PPE) options are reviewed based on the nature of the employee’s job tasks. The presenter discusses actual eye injuries and the lessons learned from those injuries. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the of PPE options available and receive a heightened awareness of the hazards presented by various jobs. NOTE: This presentation includes VERY graphic pictures of eye injuries and may be disturbing to some individuals. Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize the need for selection of proper eye protection based upon the job tasks. 2. Identify potential eye injury hazards in the workplace. 3. Describe why it is important to have a robust eye protection program. 4. Summarize to your manager and co-workers why an eye protection program is so important for their employees.
