The presenters explain resources available to employers and workers for measuring heat as well as signs and symptoms to look out for and other potential heat-related health outcomes. Additionally, the presenters introduce the audience to ongoing research into the weather and worker conditions in Ohio where they see the most workers’ compensation claims for HRI. Learning Objectives: 1. Describe annual and quarterly rates of occupational heat related illness in Ohio by industry sector. 2. Explain challenges in research relating to heat related illness. 3. Identify risk factors and interventions for heat related illness in occupational settings.
