Description:
Falls from heights and on the same level (a working surface) are among the leading causes of serious work-related and non-work-related injuries and deaths. They occur in all employment settings and they also frequently occur outside of the work environment. The Walking Working Surfaces standard was among the top three most frequently cited standards by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) this year. This session highlights the most significant aspects of this new OSHA standard.

1. Discuss the significance of workplace fall hazards.
2. Explain the importance of falling object protection.
3. Identify the importance of fall protection over moving equipment.
