This session discusses topics that are designed to clarify what is real and what is not in arc properties: types of electric arcs and differences in thermal hazards; limitations of arc rating values leading to possible deficiency in protection; arc is electric discharge but not a detonation or explosion; lack of information for accidents statistics.
