Description:
Many working adults are pulled in a dozen directions and suffer from chronic stress and distracted behaviors. According to Science Daily, organizations such as Google, Aetna, Mayo Clinic, and the United States Marine Corps use mindfulness training to improve workplace functioning. Join us for a three-part workshop focused on mindfulness and how it can positively impact you, your teams, and your programs. (Note: This session is back by request! If you attended this session last year, you're welcome to return for new activities.)

Learning Objectives:
1. Define the benefits of a mindfulness practice and mindfulness as a workplace wellness and safety initiative.
2. Describe a variety of mindfulness exercises that can be used at work, home, and during moments of transition.
3. Describe and apply how mindfulness to current health, safety, and well-being initiatives through programming and strategy.
4. Discuss current challenges to implementing mindfulness into existing workplace culture and steps to implement what you have learned.
