According to Science Daily, organizations such as Google, Aetna, Mayo Clinic, and the United States Marine Corps use mindfulness training to improve workplace functioning. Join us for a three-part workshop focused on mindfulness and how it can positively impact you, your teams, and your programs. (Note: This session is back by request! If you attended this session last year, you're welcome to return for new activities.) Learning Objectives: 1. Define the benefits of a mindfulness practice and mindfulness as a workplace wellness and safety initiative. 2. Describe a variety of mindfulness exercises that can be used at work, home, and during moments of transition. 3. Describe and apply how mindfulness to current health, safety, and well-being initiatives through programming and strategy. 4. Discuss current challenges to implementing mindfulness into existing workplace culture and steps to implement what you have learned.
