Description:
This fun and interactive session focuses on the basic services offered by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) and ways you can effectively manage your workers’ compensation coverage. The presenters cover topics such as the lifecycle of a claim, coverage requirements for employers, fraud services, and what to expect if you attend an Ohio Industrial Commission hearing. They also explain how to leverage resources available to you as a policy holder, including free safety services offered by BWC’s Division of Safety and Hygiene. You’ll even learn about why BWC is a great place to work and the variety of careers opportunities available at the agency.

Learning Objectives:
1. Summarize the various points in the lifecycle of a claim.
2. Describe the administrative appeals process and understand the role of BWC's Legal Division and the Ohio Industrial Commission.
3. Explain how to obtain a policy, understand the role of the fraud department, and describe the benefits of the Division of Safety & Hygiene.
