Description:
In this session the audience learns an innovative, systems theory approach to sexual harassment. This is a significant departure from the ineffective litigation-driven standard that has been utilized by employers for the last several decades. This topic is relevant to any employee or supervisor in the workforce today due to the pervasive nature of harassment and its empirically-proven detrimental economic effects on businesses.

1. Distinguish between systems theory and liability-focused approaches to sexual harassment.
2. Define and implement collaborative, proactive strategies to address problematic behavior.
3. Recognize early warning signs of maladaptive behaviors that typically escalate to harassment.
4. Explain obligations under state and federal law with regard to workplace harassment.
