Gotten a call for a horse stuck in a pond? Or loose farm animals on the road? The presenter discusses the unique concerns of dealing with animals at your emergency scene, livestock behavior and safety considerations, equipment to have on hand, and how your team can help animals in need, even if you've never touched a horse in your life. Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize safety considerations for large animals and personnel in a variety of situations. 2. Identify useful tools in your arsenal or for your response team to have available no matter the event. 3. Define appropriate methods of animal extraction from tricky predicaments.
