What types of insurance coverages are needed, and do I have proper risk transfer in place? Why am I being asked for these crazy forms, what are they, and what do they do? Why does my insurance carrier not offer the forms the general contractor is asking for? If I don’t get the right coverage, am I in breach of contract? Learning Objectives: 1. Explain why am you are being asked for a certificate of insurance and what is it providing. 2. Explain how workers' compensation and other insurance coverages can be affected by language in contracts. 3. Summarize the current Ohio Supreme Court ruling on what an occurrence is and means to you and your business.
