They affect our behavior and decision making including in the workplace. So, what can we do about it? This session provides a definition of implicit bias and describes how it works and how it affects our behaviors and decisions. Participants are provided examples in the work environment and strategies to mitigate biases. Learning Objectives: 1. Distinguish between bias and implicit bias. 2. Identify impact on the employee life cycle and the organization. 3. Recognize institutional and individual strategies to mitigate implicit biases.
