Revenue challenges during the past decade have impacted our schools’ ability to allocate additional funds to broaden opportunities. These challenges could be problematic for funding opportunities for risk reduction unless alternative resources are accessible. This session identifies $100,000 in Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) grant opportunities for state-fund education employers, reviews common application errors, and provides proven school grant recipient success stories. Learning Objectives: 1. Distinguish between three BWC grant programs having a combined value of $100,000 available to education employers. 2. Identify best practices for completing the application process and tips to avoid common application mistakes. 3. Summarize uses for grant funds through peer school success stories.
