Description:

Many facilities that have tanks and sumps have permit-required confined spaces. If employees are to enter the confined space, they must have a trained confined-space rescue team on standby. Many facilities just list the local fire department as the rescue team. They do not realize most fire departments are not trained in confined-space rescue and do not have the personnel to provide this service to the community. Learn how to build your own technical rescue team.

Learning Objectives:
Recall the training requirements and equipment requirements for building an in-house technical rescue team
Explain how to rig for non-entry into a confined space to remove injured personnel
Describe how to conduct a hazard analysis on a permit-required confined space
