Description:

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration published new silica regulations for construction and general industry. While they are similar, there are significant differences between the two that employers must be aware of that can either ease or complicate compliance. The presenter discusses the commonalities and the differences specifically in exposure assessment, written compliance programs, medical surveillance and compliance deadlines. He also discusses the role of the competent person in construction.
