Is job safety analysis (JSA) passé? JSA is a common technique used to identify dangers of a task and steps to eliminate or reduce those hazards. For many employers, it has become a paperwork exercise with little value. Hazard analysis is a valuable tool. It's not limited to the traditional three column format. The presenter identifies several forms of hazard analysis. She shows how to apply them to different situations. The presenter also explains how to incorporate risk assessment as a tool to support continual safety improvement.
