Description:

The machine safeguarding process is often presented in a theoretical context. However, the decisions we make have practical implications as well. In this session, the presenter reviews the steps of the safeguarding process, including risk assessment, application of the hierarchy of risk reduction and use of appropriate machine safety standards. He uses real examples to show what happens when people make decisions without careful thought.
