He points out the differences between various transportation containers and facilities and how you may handle ammonia releases. This presentation is not designed to meet the requirements of an emergency response refresher training. However, it contains valuable information for responders and others concerned with ammonia safety. Learning Objectives: Identify the hazards associated with anhydrous ammonia Recall the do's and don’ts of handling ammonia releases Describe the industrial uses of anhydrous ammonia and the safety systems used Explain why use of the Emergency Response Guidebook alone is not sufficient for handling all ammonia releases
