The presenter teaches participants about tools that can assist their organizations with the process of assessing and preparing for emergency events. Participants can use these tools to assess their preparedness to respond to an active shooter event. Learning Objectives: Describe the use of a hazard vulnerability analysis to prioritize vulnerabilities to emergency events Define components of the emergency management cycle (mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery) Explain how to use a risk assessment tool to assess your organization's preparedness to respond to an active shooter event
