Description:

This medical symposium session reviews the affects of the aging process and how it plays into the long-term management of an injury claim. The presenter discusses the unique needs of the aging injured worker, including how equipment and the level of care changes as the worker ages, which may adversely affect long-term medical reserves on the file. The presenter also discusses strategies employers can implement to mitigate loss. The presenter designed this session for physicians and health-care providers. He repeats this session for employers, safety representatives and nurses at 2:30 p.m., Thursday.
