Shawn Fox currently supervises the Western Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Special Investigations Unit as the Special Agent in Charge. Shawn manages 15 employees which investigate fraudulent activities and crimes against the Ohio BWC in 35 counties surrounding the Toledo, Lima, Dayton, and Cincinnati area. Shawn joined the Ohio BWC Special Investigation Department in September 1998. Prior to being promoted to the Special Agent in Charge, Shawn served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge and Special Agent, successfully investigating hundreds of cases including several high profile cases in the Lima and Toledo area. Shawn has specialized training in the area of covert surveillance electronics, computer forensics, covert camera installations, rural surveillance and is an adjunct instructor at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) teaching covert camera and microphone installations. Shawn has been involved in law enforcement for over 18 years as a patrolman with the North Canton Police Department and Deputy Sheriff with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology.
